Visual checks
Your gas safe approved engineer will check that your boiler still meets current standards. They will check the boiler over and look at the gas supply and all other pipework. Boiler casing removal
During a boiler service, your engineer will then remove the boiler casing. They’ll check and test all essential components, including the controls, the heat exchanger, burner, spark probe and injector. -
Gas pressure checks
Your gas boiler needs to be operating at the optimum pressure to power the central heating system, so this is another thing your engineer will check during your boiler service and adjust if needed. -
Boiler fire-up and test
Your engineer will fire your boiler up and ensure it’s in tip-top condition. -
Check and Clean Condense Trap
If you have a condensing boiler it has a reservoir that needs cleaning regularly. -
External checks
Your engineer will check the flue, ensuring there are no blockages that could obstruct harmful fumes from escaping. They will also digitally analyse your flue gas to make sure that all the fumes from the boiler are within the manufacturers stipulations.

A magnetic filter should be installed on most modern heating systems and is designed to prevent your system / boiler getting clocked up with debris within the system. Over time these filters can get clogged up and begin to become less effective. This option involves removing and cleaning the filter and replacing the gaskets. Average Parts Price Between £10-£20 -
Adding Inhibiter
Every Central heating system should have some level of protection. As in most cases the water within your system remains in the system for some time its important that the system has inhibiter added to reduce internal corrosion of your heating system. Average Parts Price Between £10-£20
